TM Residence

The TM Residence is a bespoke villa designed for a two-generational family in the heart of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
It originates from a former unfinished building that was partially refitted and partially designed new by the quartz team to respond to new exigencies.

The building’s ground zero was totally redesigned through the re-shaping of the ground section-line, with the aim of connecting the new and the existing parts of the building but focusing on which parts to hide or reveal according to the topics of privacy, function, and - most of all - beauty.

Spanning across 4480 sq. ft, it is an extensive home with state-of-art amenities, which further maximizes the floor plan with clean lines and symmetry. Its contextual design includes strategic openings in the indoor spaces to bring in the lush greens around the site. 

The ground floor is entirely dedicated to the guests. There are two basements, one for service areas and the other for recreational spaces. The first and second floors, host the master suites and ancillary areas. 

The exterior landscape is the ultimate addition to the language of the villa’s architecture. This dialogue with the surrounding nature is used similarly in the open-to-sky entrance foyer. To combat the harsh climate, the landscape features are designed to minimize heat gain.

Warm and simple materials are used in the exteriors with a contemporary approach. Marble is at the base for a cooling effect. Whereas the plaster wraps the facade with its minimal look.
